“When I get to create a painting I like the aspect of trying to think about and consider the principle behind the paining. Figure out a way to bring some sort of emotion and then apply that with the technical aspects and then bring it together into a finished product. I really enjoy the process most and when it comes down to it it’s like… a lot of this I think will subconsciously influence whatever I’m doing for the next like couple months or more. I don’t know. It’s one of those things where I can’t say “I’m doing this because of this”. When it comes to painting I kind of just let it go.
People that are reaching out to me for artwork commissions now, I’ve noticed a lot of people are wanting things of strength and stuff like that. It’s good because I feel like if people are requesting that then they’re on a positive note. One of the things I do love when I tattoo is being a part of a person’s, like, permanent transformation. At this point with what I do, people are usually investing in big tattoos. It’s not like coming in for something small. I love doing that too, but I love the aspect that if they’re getting a big, large tattoo there’s some sort of, like, transformation for them. And it’s great to see them before, and then them after, you know? And being a part of that’s great. I love the product, but I do have to say I like the process even better. Actually doing it and drawing it…that’s the best.
We have to be unified. We have to help each other. Especially in our industry…tattoos, service, restaurants…everything like that. We’re on the smaller business level. We need that. We need to come together.”
