“I'm grateful that the industry I work for has been looking out for each other so hard and that things like the USBG has reached out to so many people to help people out in the industry. This isn’t the end. I would tell them to not rest on their normal vices. It’s a very easy thing for us in the industry to do, to like drink or smoke or whatever, all our problems away because in that time we had the money to do so and now we won’t. So, you have to look inward and understand that you’re going to have to find other ways to deal with things, so if anyone came to me I would honestly say do your best and reach out to your friends and ask them for any words of reaffirmation.
A dollar in my bank account to buy groceries is as equally important as a good vibe coming to my way. Because I want to make sure that people know that people are thinking of them. We are an industry of extroverts, our industry thrives around being around people, we serve people so to tell us that we can’t do that, is crushing, so crushing to people. But I want to make sure that people know that obviously technology has taken us so far, we can still be in touch, if we’re not in the same room we are in the same group chat, the same video chat, we can make this work until we weather the storm. I’m going to do that as long as I need to, I will throw down as much money I can for other peoples needs and I hope everyone else does the same thing, whether you are in the industry or a follower of the industry take care of the people that you’ve worked with or who you support in that industry, that’s whats going to help us.”
